Welcome to all those new to Hyperton-X and would like some information and those who have previously completed courses. This web site is for the purpose of keeping you informed, in a more personalised way, with what’s happening now with Hyperton-X in the UK and its future . Since Frank Mahony’s demise in 1995 there has been little activity in the promotion of this therapy in the UK. I have been carrying out training of students in Hyperton-X as an official instructor, trained and sanctioned by Frank and recognised by the UK Kinesiology Foundation and the International Kinesiology Foundation since 1995 and feel there are enough qualified practitioners out there to keep the enthusiasm for this type of therapy alive and kicking. Most of my students reside in Scotland as this was where my training school was based

My contact with Hyperton-X first began in 1989.  At this point I was qualified in Remedial Massage through the Northern Institute of Massage in Blackpool.  I had  a Chiropractor friend in Edinburgh who used Kinesiology extensively, and he suggested I investigate this as it would be a great assistance to my massage. Following his advice, I completed the full course of Touch for Health and although I found it extremely valuable and interesting, did not feel I wanted to continue with instructor training in Touch For Health at that time. It was also around this time that I completed my training in Spinal Touch and  Brain Gym. Things were really hopping in ‘complementary’ medicine at that time and people just wanted to, at the very least, know about everything that was around. Fortunately, some of the courses were brought up to Scotland, at least for their introductory sessions and if we wanted to continue we usually had to travel to London, or  down South somewhere. Fortunately, this was the case with Hyperton-X. My initial training took place in Scotland in 1989 with Kay McCarrol and then, over the next 5 years, I traveled down to London and had the good fortune to be trained on each occasion by Frank Mahoney himself. My first experience of Frank was when he walked into the tearoom on the first morning of the advanced workshop and asked me to do his Rhomboids for him!! Scary or what, but I took a deep breath and did it anyway. To carry on with the advanced training I had to wait on Franks visits to London and in 1995(June) he was back in London to do an instructor training course. I of course leaped at the chance and immediately booked myself in.  To become an instructor I had to repeat all of the workshops again, which I of course thoroughly enjoyed anyway, and then complete the instructor training module. With this duly completed, I returned to Dunfermline clutching my Instructor certificate ready to spread the word which I have enjoyed doing since September 1995.

My Apologies for the lack of input into the Hyperton-x site recently but have been experiencing difficulties with my Internet connection. Hopefully this has been remedied now and business as usual.    Eddie
